Our bead group
I set up the evening group in September 2008 and we are now a growing and dedicated group of beaders who usually meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 7pm to 9.30pm. We take inspiration from each other and from the large display of samples and worked pieces there are around. We also help each other to learn new stitches or colour-match beads.
Sometimes we do a lot of beading and all you hear is the periodic “ouch” when stabbing a poor finger or the long sigh when that knot just won’t go away; other times we talk more than bead. But whatever we do we have a great evening out and make new friends.
We meet in The Beading Room at Halfpenney’s so we have easy access to beads and findings and Gordon makes us a nice cup of tea and biscuits at half time!
